Summary: Temple House is right in center of Patan, just steps away from Durbar Square, but it's quiet, cozy, and friendly. The staff were helpful in answering questions about the area and tour options, and the modern rooms have a historic design that I loved. Patan itself is a great alternative to Thamel that is less crowded and touristy, but still has some great restaurant options, but is close enough to Kathmandu to visit the essential sites.

Summary: great hotel / homestay in the city of gods. Its a small hotel run by family and the facilities are basic still its a great hotel and you get a homely environment. Restaurant is too small but it suits the size of hotel rooms. A shop near to this hotel offered us a sweet recipe and they called it jheru. It tastes really great. Nice and cozy room and the area was just awesome. It was a wonderful experience
